HEC Montréal is proud to announce that its MBA program is listed in the Which MBA? guide issued by the prestigious weekly magazine The Economist . The guide rates the top 100 MBA programs around the world, on the basis of a ranking produced by the Economist Intelligence Unit, the business information arm of The Economist Group.
For Jean Talbot, Director of the MBA program, “this new recognition comes on top of all the other distinctions we have earned in the past few years, and confirms our MBA program’s very good standing.”
The HEC Montréal MBA was included in the ranking for the first time, and stands 96th among the world’s top 100 programs. The School is the only Quebec institution and one of only three Canadian schools to make the list, along with the Schulich School of Business at York University and the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
Some 20,000 students and alumni contributed to The Economist’s ranking. It evaluated a large number of points, based essentially on students’ main reasons for taking an MBA, i.e.:
- to open new career opportunities;
- personal development and educational experience;
- to increase salary;
- the potential to network.
Note that our students’ satisfaction with the Career Management Service was rated very high, with HEC Montréal placing 18th out of 100 for this factor.
