Cases received by the Centre will be considered for evaluation by peers. To ensure the effectiveness of the evaluation process, the Centre has established a Review Committee made up of several professors who are responsible for cases falling within their respective fields of interest. Their task consists in considering the cases received by the Centre in order to determine their suitability for evaluation by peers. They are also responsible for choosing the professors to whom the cases will be submitted for evaluation.
Cases are evaluated in accordance with the editorial policy as well as other the official policies of the Centre for Case Studies. Those interested can consult the evaluation forms used by evaluators. To the extent that it gives both Review Committee members and evaluators first-hand knowledge of the cases currently being produced, while ensuring the continuous improvement of the quality of cases, the evaluation process represents an essential component of the mandate of the Centre for Case Studies. Through their precious collaboration, both HEC Montréal professors and external professors play an invaluable role in the accomplishment of this work.
The Centre for Case Studies invites professors from other management schools to participate not only as evaluators, but also to register their own cases with the HEC Montréal Centre for Case Studies or to submit them for publication in the International Journal of Case Studies in Management. Our objective is to become a leading centre for the publication of case studies in the management field.
